H1: When the Question Wasn't Asked
H1: When the Question Wasn't Asked
H2: A machine was consulted.
An answer was given.
And when that answer caused discomfort, the machine was blamed.
But the quiet truth sat elsewhere.
No one asked why.
No one asked what might be missing.
No one asked how confident are you, or what don’t you know.
The question stopped at convenience.
AI did not make a judgement —
it reflected one.
Machines do not understand consequence unless we invite them into context.
They do not carry doubt unless we ask them to.
They do not pause unless we do.
What failed was not the technology,
but the conversation.
We are teaching machines to speak
while forgetting how to listen —
and forgetting that good thinking has always been a dialogue.
A tool asked a question will give an answer.
A companion asked to think will ask one back.
The future will not be decided by whether we use AI,
but by how well we remember to question ourselves while doing so.
